Top- For when the two run away I wanted Kelseigh to be wearing an extremely oversized jumper or sweatshirt. This is because the character is still slightly ashamed about her appearance and wants to cover up as much as she can. Another reason the jumper is so big is because Kelseigh is suppose to be over coming anorexia, this would be hard to show considering my actor is not therefore I needed something that would drown her in clothing which would make her frame look smaller. Preferably the jumper will be cream or white to show that she is sweet natured and quite innocent, this creates a contrast against her actions by running away for the day.
Trousers- On the bottom she will be wearing leggings because they will stick to her legs showing the slimness of them, paired with the jumper making the look smaller.
Shoes- White converse, trainer like shoes comfortable to walk around in all day in.
Hair- Messy bun, shows she was rushed and the messiness represents and shows how she has depression sue to her illness.
Makeup- Next to none, only a little bit of mascara to show her eyes on screen more in close up shots.
This however changes due to what was available for my shooting timetable and the costume that was used for this aspect of the video was;
Black leggings- this is because they would still cling to her body creating the idea her frame is smaller.
Long sleeve white top- this made the underneath of the oversized jacket seem neutral and plain.
Oversized jacket- This also made Kelseighs frame seem small and engulfed, which links in with her problems of anorexia.
In bed-
Pj Bottoms- grey and silver Check Pj Bottoms which are slightly baggy since she is growing into them; weight wise.
Top- big baggy white top, show lung wear and covers up her body.
Makeup- None. Since she is suppose to be sleeping.
Hair- ponytail, messy so that it looks as though she has been sleeping.
Lounging around the house-
Bottoms- Penguin pj bottoms. Shows that she is always in pjs and shows her depression because she cannot be bothered to get dressed.
Top- The same white oversized top that she wears for in bed and a grey zip up hoody. These are both casual lounging around clothes.
Socks- Big fluffy shocks.
Hair- Messy ponytail.
College-
Trousers- Black jeans. Look smarter and like she's trying a little harder.
Top- Grey crop top, this shows that she is becoming more comfortable with her body and doesn't mind showing it off a little bit more. Over the top, have a huge check shirt just to cover her up a touch as she is a little more comfortable with her body however not so much that she cold just wear a crop top.
Hair- has it down and straight. This will be the first time in the trailer where she has her hair down. Represents her coming out of her depression by trying harder with her appearance.
Makeup- not too much makeup but enough to again show she's trying.
Shoes- Loafers, smarter kind of shoe, looks more professional and would suit the college setting.
In all of the scenes I will be dressing Kelseigh in typical up to date fashionable clothes as this will create a sense of verisimilitude throughout the trailer because it shows that the film it set in current times. Also the majority of the clothes are going to be baggy and big to create the sense that the actors frame is smaller linking with the storyline that she is recovering from having Anorexia.
